I work adults age 18 and older on an individual basis and provide quality treatment for a full spectrum of disorders listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.), such as Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders (Panic Attacks, Specific Phobias, Social Phobia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder), Adjustment Disorders, ADHD, sleep difficulties, and social and environmental problems (anger management, social skill development, grief, religious/spiritual issues and relationship problems).
The primary focus of psychotherapy/counseling is the sustained management of mental disorders, overall health and wellness and the prevention of future physical and mental health problems. Sessions are tailored to each person and the number of sessions varies depending upon the person’s therapeutic goals and their progress. Progress is measured systematically through research proven symptom checklists and outcome measures, as well as subjective feelings of being better.
I believe that each person has the capacity to grow, develop and attain the meaningful life they desire. I’ll work with you to achieve that life, and may encourage you to interact more with your community, family, and appropriate medical professionals, such as your primary care physician.
All clients should arrive 15 minutes early for their appointments to allow time to adjust to the office environment and fill out necessary paperwork.
